After he released two acclaimed EPs in 2015 and got a lot of attention for his ´Cape Of No Hope´ single (TV and Radio airplay, more than 250k streams), Xavier Darcy will release his debut-full-length "Darcy" through Membran on February 24th. So far, the Munich-based singer with British and French roots appeared in numerous high-profile shows on German TV (e.g. "Inas Nacht", "Mein Song – Deine Chance") and shared the stage with established artists like Rea Garvey and Joris, as well as Indie-darlings like Hudson Taylor and Jesper Munk. Now the 21-year-old is ready to release his first complete record and share his catchy, yet insightful pop anthems with the world. "Darcy" is an album that, on the surface, provides an excess of city color; bombastic arrangements, danceable rhythms and insanely catchy melodies are present from beginning to end. It features eleven brilliant, dynamic, feelgood-songs, married with deep brooding lyrics that characterize the everyday struggles of the youth of 2017. "This is an album that reflects the cities and suburbs we live in. At a first glance everything is bright and full of life, but below the surface, behind closed doors, there lies a world of hidden anxieties" says Xavier Darcy of his debut LP. In his own words: "We wanted to make a great pop record on our own terms, free of labels, not bound by any notion of genre or image."
