All Events are subject to change, postponement or cancellation at short notice. Updates regarding Events will be announced via Assai Records' website and social media channels. Attendees are encouraged to check Assai Records and relevant social media channels before travelling.
We kindly ask customers attending Artist Events to purchase any items intended for signing from Assai Records. This helps us continue to host in-store Events and support attending Artists.
If you have any accessibility or assisted access requirements relating to an Event at an Assai Records Store, please contact our customer service team at support@assai.co.uk and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your requirements where possible. For Events held at third-party Venues, please contact us before booking Tickets so that we can discuss any accessibility requirements with the Venue.
EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Definitions
Artist means an individual person or group of people appearing at an Event to promote items.
Attendee means any member of the public attending an Event.
Assai Records means HTS (Scotland) Ltd trading as Assai Records.
Event means an event held in a Store or Venue where an Artist appears for promotional purposes.
Event Terms means these Terms and Conditions.
Store means an Assai Records retail store where an Event takes place.
Ticket means a ticket granting entry to an Event.
Venue means a venue other than an Assai Records Store.
Wristband means a wristband issued for admission to an Event.
- GENERAL
1.1 These Event Terms apply to all Events organised by Assai Records together with any additional terms relating to a specific Event and any applicable terms imposed by a Venue.
1.2 By applying for, purchasing, receiving or using a Ticket or Wristband, and/or by attending an Event, Attendees agree to be bound by these Event Terms.
1.3 Nothing in these Event Terms affects any statutory rights that Attendees may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.
- TICKETED EVENTS
2.1 Tickets may be obtained as advertised on the relevant Event listing.
2.2 Unless otherwise stated, Tickets are limited to one per person or household.
2.3 Tickets are subject to availability and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
2.4 Tickets may be complimentary or sold at the advertised price.
2.5 Tickets may not be transferred, exchanged or resold unless expressly permitted in the Event listing.
2.6 Where Tickets have been purchased, they are generally non-refundable except where:
a) the Event is cancelled;
b) the Event is materially changed or rescheduled and the Attendee can no longer reasonably attend; or
c) a refund is otherwise required by applicable law.
- PRIORITY ENTRY AND NON-TICKETED EVENTS
3.1 Admission shall be on a first-come, first-served basis and only up to the maximum number of people that can safely be accommodated.
3.2 For Priority Entry Events, Attendees who have purchased or qualified for Priority Entry through a qualifying album purchase or other advertised promotion will be admitted before general admission attendees.
3.3 Priority Entry Attendees should join the designated queue no later than ten minutes before the advertised Event start time. Priority Entry cannot be guaranteed after this time.
- ENTRY TO EVENTS
4.1 Events will take place at the advertised Store or Venue.
4.2 Attendees may be required to queue for admission as directed by staff.
4.3 Admission may be conditional upon production of a valid Ticket, confirmation email, digital pass, registration confirmation or other proof of eligibility.
4.4 Attendees on a guest list may be required to provide identification and evidence of eligibility. Inclusion on a guest list does not guarantee admission where capacity or safety considerations prevent entry.
4.5 Assai Records and/or the Venue operator reserve the right to restrict admission where necessary for health, safety, security or capacity reasons.
4.6 Where age restrictions apply, Attendees must comply with those restrictions. Where accompaniment by a parent, guardian or carer is required, such person must also comply with any Ticket requirements.
4.7 Proof of age may be requested and admission may be refused where there are reasonable grounds to believe an Attendee does not meet the minimum age requirement.
4.8 Where a carer accompanies an Attendee, the carer must remain available to provide assistance throughout the Event. Unless otherwise agreed in advance, carers must hold a valid Ticket where required.
4.9 Attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and associated costs.
4.10 Admission is subject to reasonable health, safety, environmental and security requirements. Security searches may be conducted where appropriate.
4.11 Admission may be refused or an Attendee removed from an Event where they:
a) arrive excessively late;
b) refuse a lawful security search;
c) engage in abusive, threatening, intoxicated or disruptive behaviour;
d) compromise the safety or enjoyment of others; or
e) breach these Event Terms.
4.12 Where admission is refused or an Attendee is removed as a result of conduct described in clause 4.11, no refund or compensation shall be payable.
5. THE EVENT
5.1 Event start and finish times are approximate and may vary due to circumstances beyond Assai Records' reasonable control, including Artist availability.
5.2 Assai Records will use reasonable efforts to ensure adequate stock of promoted items is available for purchase.
5.3 Any signing of items by an Artist is entirely at the discretion of the Artist and/or their management and may be limited to items purchased from Assai Records.
5.4 Any signing opportunity may be restricted to specific products, formats or quantities as advertised for the Event.
5.5 Photographs with an Artist are not guaranteed and remain entirely at the discretion of the Artist and/or their management.
5.6 Photography opportunities may be restricted or withdrawn at any time.
5.7 Assai Records cannot guarantee that every Attendee will meet an Artist.
5.8 Filming, photography or sound recording by Attendees may be restricted or prohibited.
- CHANGES TO EVENT
6.1 Assai Records reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule or make reasonable changes to any Event where necessary.
6.2 Assai Records will use reasonable efforts to notify Attendees of any cancellation, postponement or significant change via its website, social media channels and/or the relevant Store.
6.3 Except where required by law, Assai Records shall not be responsible for travel, accommodation or other consequential costs incurred by Attendees.
6.4 Where a paid Ticket is purchased directly from Assai Records and the Event is cancelled, a full refund will be available upon request.
6.5 Where a Ticket formed part of an album bundle, any refund will be calculated based on the difference between the standalone album price and the bundled purchase price, unless otherwise required by law.
6.6 Refund requests relating to cancelled or rescheduled Events should be made within six months of the original Event date.
- PHOTOGRAPHY TO EVENTS
7.1 Attendees acknowledge that photography and video recording may take place during Events.
7.2 Assai Records, associated companies, Artists and Artist management may use photographs and recordings containing Attendees for promotional, marketing, editorial and archival purposes in any media worldwide.
7.3 Such use shall be subject to applicable data protection and privacy laws. Information regarding how personal data is processed can be found in Assai Records' Privacy Policy.
- LIABILITY
8.1 Nothing in these Event Terms excludes or limits liability for:
a) death or personal injury caused by negligence;
b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
c) any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
8.2 Subject to clause 8.1, Assai Records shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses including loss of enjoyment, travel costs, accommodation costs, loss of profits or other economic loss arising from attendance at or cancellation of an Event.
8.3 Assai Records does not guarantee that Event registration systems, websites or booking processes will be uninterrupted or free from errors.
8.4 Attendees are responsible for any loss or damage caused by their unlawful acts or breaches of these Event Terms and may be liable for resulting losses suffered by Assai Records.
- CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
9.1 Assai Records may amend these Event Terms from time to time.
9.2 Any amendments will not materially affect Tickets already issued except where required by law, safety requirements or operational necessity.
10. DISPUTES
10.1 Nothing in these Event Terms limits an Attendee's legal rights.
10.2 Assai Records will endeavour to resolve any complaint or dispute fairly and promptly.
11. VENUE TERMS
11.1 Additional Venue-specific terms and conditions may apply.
11.2 Where a conflict exists between these Event Terms and mandatory Venue requirements relating to safety, security or operation of the Venue, the Venue requirements shall prevail to the extent necessary.
12. GOVERNING LAW
12.1 These Event Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
12.2 The Scottish courts shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising from these Event Terms.
Free Carer Policy
Subject to availability, one carer may attend free of charge for each paying disabled guest.
The free carer provision applies to eligible Ticket and album bundle purchases made in-store or online.
Attendees requesting a free carer ticket may be asked to provide reasonable evidence of eligibility, including but not limited to:
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA) documentation;
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP) documentation;
- Attendance Allowance documentation;
- Access Card;
- a letter from a medical professional; or
- other reasonable evidence of eligibility.
Requests for wheelchair spaces, seating requirements or other accessibility adjustments should be made by email at support@assai.co.uk as soon as possible after purchase.
Where a disabled Attendee reasonably requires more than one carer, Assai Records will consider such requests on a case-by-case basis and make reasonable efforts to accommodate them where possible.
