The Weeks, barely teenagers at the time, originally recorded "Buttons" and "Hold It Kid" in a friend's basement in Jackson, Mississippi. After relentless touring, two releases, and constant urging from fans, the band decided to revisit the songs. The Buttons EP highlights reworked version of these modern classics as well as two new songs, "Mercury" and "Book of Ruth," material that hints at what's to come from one of the best young bands in the country.
