Rathauz, a masked collective from Veneto’s hinterlands, treat techno as direct action—hijacking channels, planting hidden apps and conjuring a world of concrete, barbed wire and glitching chaos.
Ciccio Bomba Cannoniere captures their feral vision in physical form. Side A delivers pounding acid, EBM synths and reggaeton rhythms laced with distortion and screams—techno that revels in disorder. Side B flips into electro-punk and anarcho-trap, with distorted guitars, boom-bap beats and chaotic MIDI riffs. Tracks like ‘Policepunk=S.W.A.T.’ and ‘Venetia-monitor’ blur punk and hardcore traditions, while ‘TLC’ condenses the mania into two frantic minutes.
It’s a record that rejects techno’s polish in favour of wild collisions, humour and raw intensity—proof that dance music can still be as unhinged as punk.
