Nixon Now are called "Hamburg's Very Own Motor City Gang" for a reason. Since 1996, i.e. 30 years, no band in the world has played the so-called "Detroit Rock", which became famous and infamous through The Stooges or MC5, as authentically as the "Furious Four" from Hamburg. Press quotes such as "If anyone could equal the MC5 and Stooges at their insane best it's Nixon Now", or "This band finally makes a Stooges reunion unnecessary", underline this. Nixon Now are the real deal. Fuzzed out and wah-wah loaded Detroit Rock blended with snotty Punk and Heavy Psych. Their fans include Nicke Andersson (The Hellacopters), Michael Davis (MC5), Lisa Kekaula (The BellRays), Gerry Roslie (The Sonics), Jim Jones (Thee Hypnotics) and Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman). Anyone who has ever seen the "Furious Four" live got an idea why.
