Japanese folk fusion quartet Mitsune delivers a breathtaking 25-minute continuous concept album – a "forbidden sound journey"bridging tradition and psychedelic experimentation. Comprising twoshamisen player/vocalists, a contrabassist, and a percussionist, theensemble weaves Tsugaru shamisen roots with Khaleeji rhythms,Indian raga, prog, jazz, and cinematic soundscapes. Recorded liveto tape at Brewery Studios in Berlin and sculpted into wild,transcendent dimensions by producers Adam Sait and PascalKarier, the album reflects deeply on human existence, nature, andtransience.
