Singular energy, multifocal targets, a cosmos of influences and resources combined to make a unique element: Jazzland presents the sound of Juno - jazz upstarts, soul guerrillas, hip hop raiders, funk assassins, hot swing pirates, ambient renegades. "Young Star" is the perfect title for this fierce debut, intense, hazy, vivid, self-consuming, retro, agitated, smooth, futuristic, spinning its own course of reinvention across the universe. Juno is a young Norwegian band of five musicians who met at the prestigious Trondheim Jazz Academy. Their catchy pop tunes combine complex groovy rhythms, rap, and a myriad of other elements, often beamed through the lens of experimental improvisation. All of these elements result in an exciting and energetic live performance, which during the last two years has seen a rapidly growing Norwegian audience.
