Irish-born RADA graduate Jessie Buckley' s TV performances include the role of Princess Marya in BBC hit-adaptation of Tolstoy' s epic novel WAR AND PEACE and starring opposite Tom Hardy in historic drama series TABOO. This April she will be seen in the HBO / SKY series CHERNOBYL for Sister Pictures alongside Emily Watson.In 2018 Jessie had her first lead role in Michael Pearce' s critically acclaimed film BEAST, co-starring with Johnny Flynn. The film opened to rave reviews and Jessie won the most promising newcomer award at the British Independent Film Awards. Other pending nominations include the BAFTA ' Rising Star' award and ' Best British or Irish Actress' for the Critics Circle Awards. In 2019 Jessie Buckley will be seen as Rose-Lynn Harlan, the leading role in Tom Harper' s inspiring, infectiously joyous heart warmer WILD ROSE, about a charismatic young single mother who dreams of becoming a Nashville star. Starring alongside Julie Walters and Sophie Okonedo, Jessie also performs her own songs in the film, all of which will be featured on the soundtrack.
