Characterised by a masterful fusion of progressive metal, electronic experimentation & subtle pop sensibilities, British band Ihlo's sound is equal parts fascinating & intriguing. With their debut album 'Union', originally released in 2019, Ihlo asserted themselves as one of the scene's most exciting new prospects, earning themselves the support of several key figures in the Prog world as well as reaching #1 on Bandcamp's 'Progressive Metal' charts multiple times.

Originally formed as a duo following a previous collaboration between vocalist Andy Robison & guitarist Phil Monro, Ihlo's final lineup was complete with the introduction of additional guitarist Rob Mair, Clark McMenemy on drums & Michael Roberts on bass.

The quintet's debut album 'Union' is a progressive expedition into myriad gorgeous sonic realms, deftly switching between passages of dream-like synth work & unrelenting, guttural chugging. Robison's layered lyrics are inspired by themes of surrealism, nature & transcendence, his remarkable vocals calling to mind the likes of Jeff Buckley & Cedric BixlerZavala.
