One of the most legendary live albums in metal history now celebrates its 20th anniversary! "Alive in Athens (20th Anniversary Edition)" by ICED EARTH is the first proper vinyl edition of this monumental album and comes along on five 180 gram LPs. Originally released as a 2CD, 3CD and picture LP set, "Alive in Athens" was slightly flawed upon its release yet became a gigantic success for the legendary heavy metal band. The original release lacked the live version of 'Colors' and the picture LP came along with a careless vinyl cut interrupting Matt's stage banter several times and split up tracks that belong together (for example the "Something Wicked (Trilogy)"). Together with Jon Schaffer, who contributed liner notes alongside Matt Barlow, this anniversary edition offers a slightly revised sequencing and new vinyl mastering by Patrick W. Engel to allow the many ICED EARTH fans an audiophile experience of this unforgettable set recorded over two nights in '99. Also included is a 12 page booklet and huge poster!
