Flopsy’s Dream is the musical project of Tom Davies, better known as GeoWizard—the British YouTuber famed for his eccentric straight-line missions. This self-titled album reveals a different side of Davies: one steeped in dreamy, melodic pop drawn from the quiet of his teenage bedroom.

Written between 2008 and 2014, these tracks have finally been brought to life with the help of long-time friend and collaborator Liam Rhodes (formerly of Birmingham psych outfit Kinds of Light). Despite the years, the songs retain a youthful warmth—soft, plaintive vocals nod to Damon Albarn or Ray Davies, while lush harmonies and layered textures echo Fleet Foxes, John Frusciante, and Tame Impala.

Guitar lines shimmer, synths drift, and melodies take centre stage in a collection that’s knowingly unclassifiable. While Davies himself jokes it could be “just regular old generic pop,” the record’s charm lies in its sincerity, evoking a sense of playful nostalgia and the simple power of a well-crafted tune.
