Nonstop Party: The greatest hits of the rock'n'roll legend from the fifties.
The "Rolling Stone" magazine places Fats Domino on rank 25 of the 100 greatest musicians and ranked 72 of the 100 best songwriters of all time. Domino was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2003. "Fats" (Slang for: the Fat One) Domino, who played his boogie-style piano, was spotted in 1949 by producer and bandleader Dave Bartholomew, a former trumpeter with Duke Ellington, in a club in New Orleans where he played for three Dollar a week occurred. Bartholomew provided him with "The Fat Man" a first record. Domino's breakthrough came with his debut: The song came out in January 1950, hit the # 2 R & B charts and became one of the first R n B million seller. Domino was extremely successful throughout the fifties. With Bartholomew and Lew Chudd, the head of Imperial, he composed a long list of hits, including "Is not That A Shame" (1955) and "Blueberry Hill" (1956). The piece is still associated with his name. Other evergreens include I'm In Love Again, I'm Walking To New Orleans, My Blue Heaven, Blue Monday and Whole Lotta Loving. The well-known "Jambalaya" was the cover of a country song by Hank Williams.
