NY rapper Dylan Owen's 'Take Care Of Yourself' is now on deluxe colored vinyl with four bonus tracks and a beautiful 4 page booklet printed on uncoated paper with liner notes. Released December 1st 2022, the album charted at #1 in Denmark and #1 in Germany. Dylan's first new full-length project since 2019 features Kinetics & One Love (the songwriters of "Airplanes" by BOB) as well as Laura Elliott (Lizzy McAlpine, Scary Pockets / Jack Conte) and production by lofi pioneer Skinny Atlas and former The Early November touring band member naebird as well as The Early November frontman Ace Enders. Dylan's signature heart-on-sleeve, folsky boom bap style is refined here more than ever before. He explores themes of knowledge of self, mental health struggles, changing friendships during adulthood, and pursuing his music dreams against all odds to put on for every small town, nowhere kid across the globe.
Dylan's listeners have tattooed his meaningful lyrics, shared heartfelt messages with him about what these songs mean, and streamed this album over 500,000 times on Spotify in the last six months alone. Dylan has shared stages with: Mac Miller, Logic, Watsky, Ceschi, Patrick Droney, and The Doppelgangaz, and he has collaborated with Abhi the Nomad, Watsky, Skinny Atlas, Telli of Ninjasonik, and more. His lyrical, raw honest songwriting style has been compared in the press to alternative icons Conor Oberst and Elliott Smith. He has received press and praise from Paste Magazine, Pop Matters, REVOLT TV, PepsiCo x NFL, WWE Smackdown (he recorded one of their theme songs), Respect Magazine, This Song Is Sick, and Billbooard's Next Big Sound chart. Dylan kicked off summer 2023 as a TedX Talk guest speaker.
