It's time for Casiokids! With an upcoming Norway tour and a suitcase packed with danceable indie songs, the Bergen natives are now ready to take you on a journey to outer space, around the sun, and back again. The first taste of their brand-new album is the double single ?Brunsniggelen / Tid for hjem?, set to be released on April 11th. After years of crafting new music both in studios at home and remote - surrounded by countless synthesizers and intense strobe lights - their new album is finally completed in 2024. Tid for hjem has become an album that naturally fits into the contemporary scene, while also being a logical sequel to Aabenbaringen over aaskammen. With songs like the irresistible "Brunsniggelen," "Karibisk stemning" (which truly lives up to its name), and the club banger "Sirkel," Casiokids demonstrate a unique ability to blend hooks and big emotions with irresistible dance music. The time has once again come to fill floors with hedonistic dancing to quirky Norwegian lyrics. As members of an exclusive club of Norwegian-speaking artists with international success, Casiokids have played hundreds of concerts across large parts of the world. This includes a long list of major international festivals, as well as live sessions for, among others, BBC and Radio France. Casiokids have been hyped by heavyweights like NME, Pitchfork, AllMusic, and Rolling Stone, and they were once awarded one million Norwegian kroner (approx 100k dollars) in the form of the nearly mythical A-ha scholarship. Some years after the release of their last album - Aabenbaringen over aaskammen - the band took a break. In the meantime, the band members have explored other musical projects. Vocalist Fredrik Vogsborg has, among other things, been the bandleader for Aurora and has won 3 Spellemannprizes with, respectively, The Megaphonic Thrift, Silja Sol, and Young Dreams.
