180-gram VIRGIN VINYL - THE COMPLETE ALBUM + 3 BONUS TRACKS - LIMITED EDITION OF 1,000 COPIES ONLY. Taped in 1957, Anita Sings the Most was the only recording session ever, either live or at the studio, on which Anita O'Day was backed by the legendary pianist Oscar Peterson, who appears here with his trio of that time, featuring guitarist Herb Ellis and bass giant Ray Brown.

Anita's most enduring collaborator, drummer John Poole also performs on the date, which is one of the singer's absolute best recordings. O'Day, herself, considered it among her finest recordings.

"Anita O'Day recorded many rewarding albums in the 1950s when her voice was at its strongest, and this collaboration with the Oscar Peterson Quartet may very well be her best. Not only is the backup swinging, giving a Jazz at the Philharmonic feel to some of the songs, but O'Day proves that she could keep up with Peterson. "Them There Eyes" is taken successfully at a ridiculously fast tempo, yet the singer displays a great deal of warmth on such ballads as "We'll Be Together Again" and "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered. While Oscar and Herb have some solos, O'Day is never overshadowed and is clearly inspired by their presence." - AllMusic (Scott Yanow)
