Bill Henderson may not have been a household name among jazz singers, but this 1963 release raises a valid point that maybe he should have been. Of course, taking on this mix of standards with the Oscar Peterson Trio - including Ed Thigpen (drums) and Ray Brown (bass), certainly could make a lesser talent look better. But Henderson matches the group's ability and elevates classics like 'All or Nothing At All' and 'You Are My Sunshine' with his own point of view.
