Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald released her 2nd studio album A Curious Thing 8th March 2010. It entered the UK album charts at ‘4 reaching platinum status. The album has sold 1,000,000 copies. Spending 65 weeks on the German Albums Chart, A Curious Thing is MacDonald's second album to stay on that chart for more than a year (her debut album spent 101 weeks on that chart, with 36 weeks in the top 10). It also reached #1 in Austria and Switzerland. A follow up deluxe edition set includes the standard version of the album and the full live recording from Amy's homecoming show at Glasgow Barrowlands in December 2007. Following that a special orchestral two-disc set includes the standard version of the album plus a bonus disc containing live orchestral versions recorded on 17 October 2010. It was recorded live in Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg), performed with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Orchestra, conducted by Gast Waltzing. 2025 is the 15th anniversary of the album, to celebrate that Amy has compiled this 2LP set, LP1 being the studio album, LP2 has the full gig from Amy’s gig at Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg) with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Orchestra, this is the first time this gig will be on vinyl. This will also feature unseen images from the album release and be pressed on (LP1) Pink and (LP2) Clear vinyl to celebrate National Album Day.
