London collective A House In The Trees return today with news of their new EP What Am I Supposed To Do? - to be released via Handsome Dad on 29th September. Core members of The Rising Sun artistic community in New Cross, A House In The Trees have already laid strong foundations for their eclectic brand of hypnotic trip hop and lush skewed pop with 2015 debut EP, To Adore, which sparked the interest of Noisey, Loud And Quiet and other tastemakers. The band have revealed its lead single 'Summertime', oozing with panoramic pop ambience, along with its equally languid accompanying visuals.

A House In The Trees will also headline Bermondsey Social Club on 21 September, tickets are on sale now

A House In The Trees (AHITT) is a multi-faceted collaborative project that began as the bedroom recording project of instigator Sam Hatchwell, and over the last two years, has grown into a collective which splinters into music, art, visuals, and production.

AHITT are also co-founders of The Rising Sun - a South East London pub repurposed as an underground venue, recording studio and creative community inhabited by artists, musicians and producers - which has played host to many parties, events and happenings over the last 18 months and is at the centre of the Peckham arts scene.

Informed by the spirit of maverick Bristolian soundsystem crew The Wild Bunch, and taking in everything from J Dilla and crate digging New Orleans soul to synthwave and trap, AHITT have crafted a sound that is theirs alone.

AHITT’s What Am I Supposed To Do? EP, captures the mid-twenties ennui of London life with lyrical themes of mundanity, longing and exodus. Recorded in typically self-sufficient fashion at Rising Sun Studios, What Am I Supposed To Do? serves as an introduction to the group’s off-kilter pop, infused with trip-hop and ambient electronica, including the nostalgic tones and shimmering guitars of lead track ‘Summertime’
