Our album of the week this week is (unanimously and undisputedly) the incredible 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨 by 'Americana's golden boy',
MJ Lenderman.
You may already be acquainted by the sounds of MJ through his guitar playing for
Wednesday or his recent collaborations with
Waxahatchee, but his latest solo offering is the perfect introduction to his ever-expanding musical world.
With on-the-nose lyricism, layered guitar work showcasing the perfect blend of
folk and (tasteful) classic rock, this record has been pretty much glued to our turntable since its release and already sits firmly amongst our favourites of this year.
