I'll Go\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eClosing Night is the debut solo album from artist and producer Sean Rogan,\u003cbr\u003e\nwhich delicately traces a period of personal change during a breakdown of a\u003cbr\u003e\nrelationship\u003cbr\u003e\nWritten over two years and recorded primarily in a bedroom in Greenwich, London,\u003cbr\u003e\nRogan's self- produced album brings together a wide circle of musician friends and\u003cbr\u003e\ncollaborators to create an intimate, vulnerable album that examines endings,\u003cbr\u003e\nbeginnings, and the complex process of letting go whilst learning how to inhabit a\u003cbr\u003e\nnew life. Closing Night employs the importance of improvisation, heavy use of\u003cbr\u003e\ncassette recorders, and a commitment to keeping performances intact. Rogan's\u003cbr\u003e\nalbum explores the experience of leaving home, carrying old versions of yourself into\u003cbr\u003e\nunfamiliar places, and discovering that change seldom arrives as a clean break.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe album also marks a turning point in Rogan's approach to recording. Influenced by\u003cbr\u003e\ntechniques learned from producer Philip Weinrobe during a recording course\u003cbr\u003e\nundertaken while making the record, the sessions embraced performance,\u003cbr\u003e\nspontaneity and collaboration over perfection. Many tracks were recorded live, often\u003cbr\u003e\nwithout headphones, allowing conversations, room sounds and the constant\u003cbr\u003e\nbackdrop of the main road outside in Greenwich to become part of the recordings\u003cbr\u003e\nthemselves. Rather than editing out imperfections, the album welcomes the\u003cbr\u003e\naccidental moments, improvised performances and first takes where Rogan and his\u003cbr\u003e\ncollaborators discover the music together.
