Mash It Up Harry\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eTo celebrate National Album Day and the 2026 theme of 'Icons', Demon Records are \u003cbr\u003e\nproud to present the reissue of Mr Love Pants, the 1998 album by Ian Dury and the \u003cbr\u003e\nBlockheads on coloured vinyl for the first time ever, only previously available on black \u003cbr\u003e\nvinyl once before and out of print for over 10 years.\u003cbr\u003e\nSeen by many as the true successor to 'New Boots and Panties!!', Mr. Love Pants was \u003cbr\u003e\nsadly to be the final studio album from Ian Dury before his death in 2000 but in a \u003cbr\u003e\nbuilding of relations, it was also the first studio album with the Blockheads for 17 \u003cbr\u003e\nyears and featured the remaining band Chaz Jankel, Norman Watt-Roy, John Turnbull, \u003cbr\u003e\nMicky Gallagher, Davey Payne and now Steven Monti on drums after the sad passing \u003cbr\u003e\nof Charley Charles.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe album took around four years to complete and was recorded at Air Studios with \u003cbr\u003e\nsong partnerships initially beginning with Ian and Chaz Jankel including the songs \u003cbr\u003e\n\"Itinerant Child\", \"Honeysuckle Highway\" and \"Bed O' Roses No. 9\" and latterly with \u003cbr\u003e\nMerlin Rhys-Jones (previously in the Music Students, Ian Dury's band for the album \u003cbr\u003e\n4,000 Weeks' Holiday) on the songs \"Jack Shit George\" and \"Cacka Boom\".
