For Andersson, the funeral home becomes a metaphor for emotional processing and closure - the place where feelings are handled with care rather than suppressed. “ When someone suddenly leaves your life, it’s unnatural to just erase them, pretend they were never there” she explains. “They stay in your heart for a while. There, they’re taken care of, grieved, forgiven, hated, loved. The heart becomes a kind of funeral home. Eventually, when time finally allows, the feeling is buried - not bitterly, but gratefully. It was written, produced, recorded and mixed by Andersson and British producer and multi-instrumentalist Ben Jackson-Cook, handmade with no samples used.
