This is the band's first album in eight years, a reunion with their original label, Run For Cover Records, and a return to music steeped in the unbridled passion and creative intuition that have always animated their best compositions. Since its formation in 2009, Basement has remained composed of the same five friends (singer Andrew Fisher, guitarists Alex Henery and Ronan Crix, bassist Duncan Stewart and drummer James Fisher) united by unwavering alchemy. Only their renewed determination has evolved in recent years, and this new album proves this with strength. Wired is the most dynamic, daring and inspired album Basement has ever produced, while retaining the timeless fundamentals of their unique sound: saturated guitars, catchy choruses and impactful and emotionally charged lyrics. Basement is back in great shape, but the group does not intend to rest on its laurels. All members were convinced that Wired should be their most successful work to date. Title track \"WIRED\" is their most impactful title to date, a concert staple, driven by incisive guitars, relentless drum rhythm and an eye-catching riff that reveals all the power of Fisher's voice. \"Broken By Design\" displays a diametrically opposite ambiance: dark, delicate, dominated by the bass, but keeping Basement's signature thanks to its immediately catchy side and melancholic atmosphere. On WIRED, nothing sounds static. Each element is perfectly completed. The band drew inspiration from a multitude of bold bands (REM, Interpol, Smashing Pumpkins, among others) without ever giving the impression of imitating anyone, not even themselves. The title of the album condenses all this into one word. WIRED's textural connotations, metallic, sharp and sharp, evoke the incisive sound of the album, and, more abstractly, the title symbolizes Basement's unwavering tenacity. An analog group that has been able to thrive in an increasingly digital world without indulging in nostalgia. Five friends who have overcome several breakups and decisive moments, but who have only grown individually and evolved musically. At this point, Basement must accept his destiny: they are made for it. \u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Assai Records","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57274247414143,"sku":"RFC288CS-C1","price":13.99,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/assai.co.uk\/products\/basement-wired-due-out-08-05-26","provider":"Assai Records","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
